Caff, Bandar Puteri Puchong

An italian fusion restaurant.

Wanted to try this place for months, but every time it's closed, and since I hate the jam in Puchong, sometimes very lazy to go- afraid it's closed again!

This time, called before heading out to the place.

And we ordered, fettucine with fried calamari in butter sauce and cheese baked macaroni (i forgot the names, something like that), a mushroom soup and garlic bread.

The butter sauce is a popular chinese dish for squid, it's nice but i prefer it without the fettucine. I know, i know its FUSION but...hehe.

The cheese baked macaroni is not nice at all! The one I made is so much better, couldn't finish it. It's tasteless and so lil cheese.

The mushroom soup was nice, but not creamy eanough, maybe some prefer less creamy ones.

There are some sesame on top of the garlic bread, those black one. Dipped it in the soup and it'll definetely taste good.

Overall it's okay, price is average for italian food, forgotten the price though, about RM70 i think (I have short term memory hehe). They have this buffet thingy for their lunch, and again, i forgot about the details! sorry!

HK trip #14: Wedding Dinner

One of the reason for this trip is to attend my cousin sis' wedding. Now only I know in HK, normally they'll have 30tables only because their ballroom couldn't fit so many tables like in Malaysia. They have to book 3 different restaurant at the same floor in one of the building in Wan Chai, as usual, I forgot the name. hehe.

It was Indian cuisine buffet.

After the dinner, their tradition is to DANCE! Tables were removed and there's the dance floor!

Just like Bollywood, haha it was so fun!

Was too tired to dance anymore, did not really dance though haha just did the choo choo train thing lolx. Went out the balcony to enjoy the view and the wind...brr...

That's the end of the 3rd day of my trip.

HK trip #13: Cute~

Found this place while walking around TST. One the way to some plaza which I forgot the name, Rice or Lice, something like that. hehe.

So many things to buy! all the cute stuff...I wanna buy all! The place have lots of cute accessories! There's an authorized Disney retailer selling Disney accessories, bought a charm there, it's cheaper than you buy inside Disneyland.

The plaza which I forgot the name have about 3-4 floors which have small outlets in each floors selling Japanese stuff, it ain't cheap though. A boots cost about HKD 800 @.@. But their clothes look nice, again! too bad IT'S WINTER!

HK trip #12: Star Ferry

Taken while I am in Star Ferry. Used it to go to HK island from TST to Wan Chai for HKD 2.20.

There'll be one every 5 to 10 min.

The funny thing is, we couldn't find the boarding entrance. lolx. Asked people around and ran so fast as we were late for the wedding dinner!

If I were to work in HK, everyday I might be late to work, so many "shopping" distraction. lolx.

The RM5 shop!

The shop wasn't very big, but the variety of goods @.@

and the people @.@

So many people, need to walk carefully...afraid will break anything hehe

So many things to buy.

Total damage: 12 * 5 = RM60.

Earth Hour Malaysia 2009 @ Look out point

So how did you all spent the 60mins earth hour?

I went up the look out point at Ampang, half way though and parked by the road side. It was 7.45pm and there were so many people. And cars going up the hill were getting more and more.

Around 8.15pm, went down the car, find a nice spot and wait!

and wait...

and finally it's 8.30pm!

Everyone's expecting something, including me! First is KL Tower, then KLCC then? no more. Quite disappointed.

And we left at 8.35pm. Still alot cars were going up, and of course alot cars were coming down -> jam!

Friend told me outside Sunway Pyramid very dark, so we drove there. Passed by a lot apartments and houses, there's one apartment, whole block were dark! Some not. The bungalows on my way back were all dark! There are a few houses where there are kids playing with candles outside the house. And outside Pyramid is dark too!

So maybe we chose the wrong place, a place which is too high?

If only we went KLCC, we'll see this..

OR

wait outside Sunway Pyramid, and see this..

INSTEAD OF

this...

and expect the whole city to be in blackout! lolx

But, it was a nice experience for me for going to the look out point for the first time on this special day =) Let's save the earth!

It's a place famous for its mango dessert. Ordered one with mango ice-cream, mango mochi and mango "tong yun" I think.

yummy!

HK trip #9: Harbour City

A place I accidentally bumped into. A place with such a magnificent view. Except the stupid building blocking! lolx.

There is a door which lead to this place. A smoking area I think? The door is somewhere in Harbour City, which i do not know where.

I can't recall those shops around that door. hehe.

HK trip #8: Dim Sum @ 7-11

Influenced by TVB drama, hehe. Too curious about the microwave dim sum, seems good, so passed by 7-11, which locals call them "chat zai", went in and pick a combination of siu mai and "dunno what mai".

Paid at counter, put in microwave, wait for 3mins I think, then pour in the sauce and ready to eat!

To be honest, it's not nice! haha it's just very convenience la...and the process is fun! hehe. Try it!

HK trip #7: Macau Restaurant 澳門茶餐廳

Hmm...I forgot the name of the dish. I think it's something "Portuguese seafood baked rice". hehe. It's located at Lock Road, TST.

So about the rice, the sauce is different from others and overall it was okay. Heard their Pork buns are good and egg tarts, too bad I didn't try them.

The portion are big so we shared one dish only and total bill came up to be HKD 62.

That's my "quite full" brunch for the day!

Kanki Sushi, Ikano

Have you ever notice this small little sushi shop at Ikano's lower ground? I passed by it quite a number of time but did not try it.

Went Ikea to buy my light bulb, and I was hungry and I wanted to eat sushi, so finally i try this new small little sushi shop.

Ordered a "Ebi Tempura Bento". I loves bento hehe priced at RM 25.90 (i think). Then a california roll and a Tobiko is it, the fish roe sushi =D

When the food arrives, the tempura looks so good! But i chose to eat my sushi first.

And now, the tempura. I bite it, and omg it's so crispy! and the prawns were so fresh! slurps...

HK trip #6: Victoria Harbour

After dinner, a walk at Victoria Harbour. The view was spectacular!

Thanks to my gorillapod which I wrapped it around those bars, so I can take steady night photo, though not so sharp hehe >.<

That's the end of the first day in HK. HK trip #1 till #6 sums up my day two of my trip!

What a tiring day!

HK trip #5: Shanghai vegetarian cuisine @ 功德林

This is the appetizer. Looks nice right?

Seldom eat vegetarian food, some more it's Shanghai vegetarian cuisine with a view of Victoria Harbour hehe

Saw little bit of the symphony of lights show while eating.

Their dumpling were so good! slurps! Most of the dishes are mushroom and tofu. Another special dish is you wrap your food inside a "pouch" haha!

This restaurant is situated at One Peking, Tsim Sha Tsui, 7th floor.

More info here.

HK trip #4: Ice cream!

Eating ice-cream in a cold weather = nice!

I love those vans selling ice-cream in Kowloon street. You see them everywhere. I forgot how much it costs, paid it with my octopus card, so convenient!

The ice-cream is very soft! Must try!

HK trip #3: Citygate Outlet

A place full with outlets- Esprit outlet, Nike outlet, Adidas outlet, Polo outlet, Roxy outlet.........and lots more.

This place sells discounted goods, off season goods, up to 90% maybe. I did not get anything from there though. The Esprit outlet is soooo big, but you find it everywhere in HK, it's cheaper than the normal Esprit.

Calvin Klien's Jeans all very cheap compared to AX. Grab grab grab! It's a place to go when there's no sales going on elsewhere. The time I went, everywhere sales BUT it's winter sales! So don't go during December to shop! Go during their summer sales, around June till September if im not mistaken.

Take the MTR to Tung Chung Station and you'll reach here.

HK trip #2: Snoopy World

Snoopy World is located in New Town Plaza, Shatin. Do not put much expectation on this place, as it is quite small. It's like a little playground for kids. It's a place to take picture even you are not a snoopy fans. So remember to bring your tripod along!

BTW, New Town Plaza is a nice place to shop, too bad I didn't spend much time there.

HK trip #1: Dim Sum @ 明星海鲜舫

From Zhu Hai, took a ferry at Jiu Zhou port to HK-Macau Terminal Port for RMB 165. Duration about 45mins.

Lunch at a restaurant which look like a sail boat in Shatin with cousins and relatives. One of the reason I go to HK is to attend my cousin sis' wedding. They ordered so many dim sum, about 25 dishes I think. Did not take much photo as I was busy eating, so yummy hehe The dim sum above is 蛋散 "dan san", it tastes like Sak Kek Ma, maybe it's the same thing? lolx.

I only know 蛋散 is to scold people but don't know it's a kind of food. After googled only I know the meaning of 蛋散 is to say someone who couldn't do things because the food itself is very fragile.

Total bill was "i can't remember". All I know is, HK's food very expensive haha!

For more information, click here (it's in chinese though)

Lotus Street, Zhu Hai

After dinner, walked to Lotus Street. Not far away from Wan Zai, but I can't remember the direction hehe.

Lotus St. is the most happening street in Zhu Hai I think. Those bars (photo above) are so special.

Then there's this shop which sells shoes and because it's winter season, they are selling a lot of boots at a low price! BUT too bad, doesn't have my size...

Also, there's another shop selling cute stuff. I bought so many things from there haha so wanna buy the whole shop!

It's getting late so most shops starting to close, so we walked back to our hotel. It's quite near too. And there's a foot massage centre just opposite the hotel. It's so cheap, RMB 35 for normal foot bath and RMB 45 for special foot bath eg. milk, lavender, ginseng...

That's the end of first day!

Wan Zai Seafood, Zhu Hai

After we place our luggage in our hotel room, around 8pm, off we go for dinner.

There's this street in Zhu Hai which is famous for seafood, called Wan Zai. Double confirmed with the hotel reception and they arrange a cab for us.

While in the cab, we realized something is not right, the taxi driver might be taking the wrong way but we did not ask the driver since we don't know the roads until when the cab meter fare starts to charge for every 100m (since we the initial cab fare is for the first 2km i think), the driver asked us whether we want to go the Wan Zai which sells computer or the seafood street, then he turned back...sigh...the taxi fare should be around RMB 15 but we were charged at RMB 34.

Back to the seafood street, hehe, the whole streets are full with stalls selling fresh seafood and behind them are those restaurant. Pick those seafood you want from any stall and choose a restaurant. There are so many types of seafood eg. elephant trunk clam, abalone...Walk till the end of the street and you will see few stalls selling oysters...lots and lots of oyster. We bought around 8 big oyster for RMB 22, 3 scallop (shown in photo) for RMB 10 and 1/2 jin (about 300g?) squid for RMB 15.

Those restaurant will recommend you how to cook your seafood. Each priced differently. We had "salt and pepper soup" style for our oyster, forgot the scallop one, then fried squid. We ordered another dish of vege. They just have one size for the vege- which is big. lolx. It comes with soup and chinese tea. Total bill was RMB 63.

Hong Kong Trip 2008/2009

Few months back, more specifically 2 months+ back, even more specifically, during December 2008, traveled to Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macau for 9D8N.

Will share my experiences here soon. hehe. Before the trip, did a lot of researches since its the first time for both of us to travel alone even though will be staying at cousin sis' place hehe.

Took an Air Asia flight to Macau airport, to save on the flight ticket, which i regretted. It was a great experience though.

Afraid that the flight would be delayed, afraid that we will miss the hotel check-in time etc etc...

So from Macau airport, we took a cab to the Zhu Hai border. It was around 5pm, the crowd in the immigration was so big. So we queued and passed the Macau border to Zhu Hai. Once we reached ZH, it was getting late and we need to check in the hotel by 8pm. So we rushed to the hotel. Before that, we passed by the big underground shopping mall, too bad we were in a hurry hehe

Checked in at Popoko hotel, 5 mins away from the border.

Puchong Yong Tao Foo

It's in Puchong, unlike those Ampang Yong Tau Foo but its not in Ampang. lolx.

For the last last last Sunday and last last Sunday, I had this. Last last last Sunday was my first time to the place and kind of addicted to it so last last Sunday I dragged my friends there. hehe.

First find a seat, then you can choose to order from the waiter or pick your own "yong tao foo". There are the normal ones, lady's finger, fu chuk, blah blah blah... then pass it to the person standing there, and order tofu, fried dumplings, fried wantons and fish balls from him. And tell him your table no. We were so lost the first time we went, until some other customer guide us. hehe.

Those yong tao foo are huge as you can see from the photo! and the soup comes with vege "which are good for your eyes" *wink*
It's priced at RM1 each.

There are side orders too, eg. "zi bao kai" = paper wrapped chicken (direct translation hehe), but its quite salty.

But the place very stuffy and hot, esp during the hot sunny days. For the good food, must endure la!

Jogoya, Starhill

Finally get to visit the over-rated Jogoya buffet at Starhill. At first glance, I saw a variety of food. Then we were placed at a two seater "block" type table, opposite the Teppanyaki counter.

The crowd was okay, consider a lot for a weekday, went on Tuesday and got sick for the rest of the week! Maybe also due to the voucher, free 1 pax. Total bill was RM114 for two.

Anyways, there is a free vip coupon for us, hence get to choose a vip dish. Mostly are lobster but I chose the steamed soup. hehe. kinda wasted though.

Now, the foods...Some is self-service and some is you throw in your number clip to the bowl and they will serve it to you. So disappointed when the food served are cold!

Except the spaghetti, teppanyaki and the steamed soup. Or maybe the steamboat thingy and the fried thing, I was too full to eat that anymore and feeling not so well. Those sushi..not nice. But the shrimp not bad, with the sweet sauce. Maybe those good stuffs are those that I missed. Who cares, I won't go back anymore. It's not worth the price.

Or maybe I will coz i like their desserts and coconut. The mango pudding was so yummy. Had 3. hehe and the cookies...slurps!

Introducing the author

Of course, he is not the author, his mommy is.

She takes out-of-focus pic, just like above and still thinks its nice and artistic. hah!

She did not use sophisticated dslr, just a point and shoot.

She prefer simplicity. Hence owns an Olympus μ790 sw and a small red gorrilapod.

She wants a Panasonic LX-3, but thinks she seldom takes photos.

Her wish list is very very long, but her loved one is trying to make it shorter.

She is lazy too, and don't think there will be a photo a day.

The few sentences above are contradicting.

Also, she enjoy eating good food and loves to travel around.

Anyway, actually, she did not know what she were writing.

Or, should I say, I am so blur- just like the photo?

and she always move from blog to blog...
